Rookies is a sport drama, but I liked it because it has friendship in it and some ikemen also!!!!

This drama is about a group of boys in highschool, they became a group of delinquents after their baseball team was banned from playing, due to a violent incident that happen in one of their games. A new teacher then arrives at school Kawato Koichi (Sato Ryuuta) his a very optimistic teacher, he decides he wants to help the boys fullfill their dream of going to Koshien.

So first of all he has to gather them together and resume their club activities, this is where the drama begins.

As I said already we have IKEMEN Yatta!!!

First we have Anya Keiichi (Ichihara Hayato) his smile throughout the drama is so fresh 



Then we have Shinjo Kei (Shirota Yu) he is so cool. One thing that really surprised me about him is that he actually can speak English and Spanish!!!!! This image I found it in asianfanatics (asianfanatics.net/.../index.php?showtopic=529775)

There is Nakao Akiyoshi who I've already seen in H2 as a baseball player too and in Dragon Zakura so he was kind of familiar. The other actors are new for me except Kiritani Kenta who I saw in Ryusei no kizuna Nino´s drama.


And last but not least the teacher Kawato sensei (Sato Ryuta). Here I agree with Mikoshiba(the baseball captain) his smile is so cute, it makes you feel everything is going to be OK. I was familiar with him in Kizarazu Cat's eye and Pride, but I have to admit that this was the perfect drama for him and having him as a sensei in the drama was perfect.


 

 This drama is a good drama it talks about dreams, about not giving up, about friendship, about trust and many other things. Basically it has everything a good drama needs (except love!, but we can't have everything can't we?) The last episode made me cry so this makes it a subarashii drama.

Now I'm waiting for the movie that will open on May 30 in Japan, and then I'll have to wait for the fansubbers to have it in their hands and subbed it so a long wait.
